You Don’t Need To Earn A Second Chance When It Comes To God’s Love
The foundational truth for experiencing spiritual freedom is that you can approach God without shame. Karin Hadadan, best-selling author of Beauty in the Stillness, reminds us of that freedom here because God’s grace outweighs any sin.
God doesn’t hold your sins against you. He isn’t punishing you for past mistakes. You don’t have to live under a cloud of guilt or fear spiritual judgment.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1
The finality and completeness of ‘no condemnation’ signify a total absence of any judgment, guilt, or sentencing, allowing you to walk renewed, free, and liberated from your past.
This truth transforms our daily experience. Imagine if you went to court for a crime and the judge declared you ‘not guilty’—the case is closed forever. When God proclaims ‘no condemnation,’ He means that spiritually, in His eyes, the case is closed, and He isn’t keeping a record of your failures against you. This powerful reality exists for ‘those who are in Christ Jesus’—our union with Him makes this promise possible.
However, this doesn’t mean we are entirely free from sin’s presence in our lives or that sin doesn’t matter—it means that God’s grace is far more powerful than any sin you’ve ever committed. This frees our spirits, shifting the eternal verdict for all believers from condemnation to freedom. Because we are ‘in Christ,’ we can walk confidently in the present reality that there is ‘now no condemnation’—not someday, but today. Our spiritual status before God is secure, allowing us to live from freedom rather than for freedom.
