Jennifer Aniston’s Hard Launch Of Her Hypnotherapist Boyfriend Has Everyone In A Trance (Including Her)
By Erin Whitten
For the longest time, Jennifer Aniston just laughed off rumors about her love life, and on Nov. 2 2025, she officially fell hypnotically in love. Suddenly, Aniston shared a black-and-white Instagram photo of herself and hypnotherapist and wellness coach Jim Curtis. “Happy birthday my love Cherished ❤️,” she captioned the sweet, cozy snapshot. Five words, a huge smile, and 44.7 million people collectively whoaing.
Wait… what the actual fck just happened? Jennifer skipped right over the soft launch of her relationship with Jim and instead opted for the hard launch that all of Hollywood is now talking about. Jen’s dating someone new and it’s about f*cking time.
Meet the soft-spoken new leading man in Aniston’s rom-com life. He’s Jim Curtis, author, wellness coach, and self-described “scientist of personal transformation.” On his website, Curtis describes himself as a “wellness pioneer, author, and coach.” He uses a combination of subconscious work, mindfulness, and spiritual coaching to show people how to “break free from their past to create an entirely new, empowered reality.” Curtis has worked at both WebMD and Everyday Health. He now works as a transformational coach and speaker. He markets his coaching services under the name “hypno-realizations.”
“My own illness and disability forced me to confront the limited beliefs, disconnection, and trauma that were keeping me sad, sick, and alone,” Curtis writes on his website. “Through many powerful tools, including hypno-realization, I not only transformed my physical health, depression, and relationships, but I’ve also helped thousands of others break free to create an entirely new reality full of connection, community, and love
Jennifer Aniston’s fans soon noted the two had been following each other on Instagram for years, that Jen had recently “liked” one of his videos, and that one of Jim’s books had also made a surprise appearance in her May photo dump (last slide), hinting this connection had been building for quite some time before the cameras finally caught on. On August 18, the couple was spotted in Malibu with Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid, where they were snapped leaving Nobu together.
So, is dating a hypnotherapist even a real thing? After all, Twitter/X is already littered with “under his spell” jokes and references…
See, here’s the funny thing: hypnosis checks all the boxes for Jen. Meditation, mindfulness, reiki, crystal healing, she’s long been vocal about wellness being a big part of her life. In a recent interview the actress explained that hypnosis helped her to overcome her fear of flying. “For me, hypnosis was like, ‘Okay, I’m going to do this now and I’m going to try and stop my fear of flying.’ I did some relaxation and after two sessions, I’m sitting on the plane” Hypnosis? Check. Jim? NOW also checks.
Yes, it’s a love story. The hypnosis kind.
What’s the rollout after that epic reveal? Keep your expectations low, but your hopes high. We’re more likely to see a fairly quiet rollout of coffee dates and red-carpet appearances (while on The Morning Show press run) than an all-out paparazzi blitz. That is, unless she surprises us all with something special, like a collaboration or podcast episode where she breaks down hypnosis for the masses. If there’s one thing that Jennifer Aniston knows how to do better than almost anyone else alive, it’s how to do love quietly but let the people know you’re doing it loud and proud when you are.
