Taylor Swift’s Former Eras Tour Dancer Just Promised A Halloween Surprise On ‘Dancing With The Stars’ And Swifties Are Losing It Over The Clues

Dancing With the Stars is preparing to welcome in the spookiest episode of the season, and now Swifties will have a reason to watch. Jan Ravnik, a former Eras Tour dancer who has been making his Season 34 debut as a first-time pro on DWTS alongside celebrity partner Jen Affleck, said his pair’s Halloween dance will be a special surprise “for all the Swifties.”

“It’s a surprise, just so you know,” Affleck shared after the October 21 performance. “It’s for all the Swifties.” Ravnik only added, “You’ll have to see.” While neither partner was willing to reveal more, Swift’s fanbase has been speculating ever since. Are we in for a dance inspired by Taylor? Will one or both partners be dressed as the star? Or will Swift herself make an appearance?

Ahead of the performance, Ravnik shared that he performed as one of Swift’s dancers on The Eras Tour. Ravnik said in December 2024 that joining Swift on tour was a “life changing experience” and described those three years as “the best of my life” in an Instagram post reflecting on his experience with the pop star.

Taylor has long been part of the Dancing With the Stars family. The show had an episode in the past dedicated to a “A Celebration of Taylor Swift” in which dancers did routines set to “Cruel Summer,” “Paper Rings,” and “Don’t Blame Me.” Swift has also made appearances on the ballroom stage herself, to sing, not to dance.

For Ravnik and Affleck’s Halloween episode, the dance could be set to any number of moody tracks, including “Haunted,” “no body, no crime,” or “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” Fingers crossed we get some of her signature theatrics reinterpreted in dance form. Swifties have also already spotted potential Swift Easter eggs scattered across the season. Ravnik and Affleck sported bright orange costumes for their season premiere, a shade Swift has been using to signal her highly-anticipated album The Life of a Showgirl. The next week, they performed in mint green, another color directly related to Swift’s Showgirl era.

Is it too much to dream that Swift will make an appearance herself? It would be the perfect time. With The Life of a Showgirl out, so it’s entirely within Swift’s vibe to pull a surprise like this. Swift or no Swift, the connection to the pop star is tied into this season through the costumes, the choreography, and the excitement and support Ravnik’s season has brought with it. One thing is for certain: for Halloween, Dancing With the Stars will be handing out a treat for every Swiftie watching.
