
The 5 Most Anticipated Movies Of Fall And Winter 2025
This year’s film schedule has something for everyone. We have seen a resurgence of superhero movies with Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, Superman, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps.
We have also seen an abundance of horror from Sinners, I Know What You Did Last Summer, M3GAN 2.0, and the highly anticipated Weapons. There’s also been family friendly favorites like Elio and How To Train Your Dragon, but there is still more to come in this second half of the year from late August through December. Get your popcorn and candy ready for six more of this year’s most anticipated movies from August to December.
Nobody 2 (August 15)

Releasing this weekend on August 15, Nobody 2 is the sequel to the 2021 action-thriller Nobody starring Bob Odenkirk. Odenkirk returns as Hutch Mansell, a family man who decides to take his family on a nice, relaxing vacation. Unfortunately for him and his family, they get mixed up with a corrupt theme-park operator, a sinister sheriff, and a crime boss who loves the sight of blood.
Spinal Tap II: The End Continues (September 12)

Turn it up to 11! Spinal Tap is back for a sequel 41 years after the original Spinal Tap hit theaters. Spinal Tap II: The End Continues is a mockumentary that follows the estranged members of the band Spinal Tap while they’re searching for a new drummer to join them on a reunion tour. The tour is set to take place in New Orleans and Spinal Tap wants to do everything they can to secure their legacy in the world of rock n’ roll. Spinal Tap II releases on September 12th.
Black Phone 2 (October 17)

Black Phone was a terrifying horror film following the masked-clad Grabber, played by Ethan Hawke. Black Phone had such amazing success and is coming back for Black Phone 2, releasing on October 17th. In Black Phone 2, a 15-year-old girl is plagued by nightmares of the black phone and seeing visions of boys being stalked at a winter camp. She and her brother decide to band together and head to the camp to solve the mystery, but are confronted with the Grabber himself.
The Running Man (November 7)

On November 7th, Glen Powell will take on the role of Ben Richards in The Running Man. This is a remake of the 1987 hit of the same name starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. In the 2025 version, Powell plays Richards, a man who is desperate for money to save his sick daughter. The producers of a deadly competition where competitors have to survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins find Richards and convince him he is perfect for the show and it’ll help him provide for his daughter. Richards joins the show, ratings skyrocket, and unfortunately for the producers, Richards can potentially bring the whole demented system down.
Wicked: For Good (November 21)

November 21st will be a day dedicated to Elphaba, who is now dubbed as the Wicked Witch of the West in Wicked: For Good. The second installment of Wicked will pick up with Elphaba living in exile and Glinda living in Emerald City. An angry mob decides to rise up and try and take down the Wicked Witch, so Elphaba has to band together with Glinda again to transform Oz back to good.
Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 (December 5)

Five Nights At Freddy’s 2 will release on December 5th and will pick back up one year after the supernatural nightmare that took place at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. The old security guard of the pizza place has kept what happened at Freddy’s a secret from his sister, and she decides she wants to reunite with the psycho animatronics one more time. This sets off a disastrous chain of events that reveal the origins of Freddy’s and what really happened there.
