Dance, Crush, And Fall In Love Again With These 3 Hulu Rom Coms This April

These are the three ways to fall in love, if these rom coms are any indication.

By

It’s spring and this is the perfect time for budding romance and that feeling in your chest you get when you find your one true love.

But maybe you’re entering April single with no prospects. (Hello, it’s me.) Or maybe you’ve already found “the one” but you still want to see new love bloom. Why not watch a rom com? If Hulu is all you’ve got and you’re currently overwhelmed by their romance section–which is huge, after all–then I’m about to make your life a little easier. Here are three great romantic comedies you can watch on Hulu right now.

Step Up 2: The Streets (2008)

Walt Disney

Okay, Hulu actually has the entire Step Up catalog, but most fans of the dance franchise will agree that Step Up 2: The Streets is the best one. A ragtag crew of dancers band together to fight in an underground dance battle called “The Streets.” While there’s a romance, like in all the Step Up movies, this one is special for it’s A+ dances and the series introduction of Step Up regular, Moose. No one dances in the rain like this crew.

Crush (2022)

Hulu

Want a modern rom com? Crush is a Hulu Original queer teen romance. Rather than focusing on coming out, which took over the bulk of the queer romance of the last few decades, Crush instead shows what it’s like to crush on your nemesis without having to worry about all the other stuff. It’s a cute story that shows how normal it truly is to be LGBTQ+, and it deserves its place is romantic comedy history.

Sweet Home Alabama (2002)

Buena Vista Pictures

Of course, classic rom coms are always a solid choice. Hulu has many, but may I suggest Sweet Home Alabama? Melanie just got engaged, but she can’t start planning her wedding until she divorces her secret husband. As with most classic romantic comedies, it’s a little problematic in a 2025 context, but if you can set the questionable relationship dynamics aside, you’ll love it.
