The 3 Best Romantic Comedies On Amazon Prime This January

So you’re feeling romantic.

Maybe it’s the close proximity to Valentine’s Day. Maybe it’s cuffing season. Maybe you just love love. Regardless, you’re sitting in your home wondering what the heck to watch to quench your thirst. If you have Amazon Prime, and odds are you do, then there’s a whole sea of rom coms out there to choose from. But, how do you choose? I’m going to help you narrow it down so you don’t have to be paralyzed by choice. Here are three must-watch rom coms on Prime Video this January.

Empire Records (1995)

A ragtag crew of hipster record store employees spend the day–Rex Manning Day, to be exact–trying to find a way to save their failing store. If you didn’t experience this rom com loved by edgy Millennials everywhere, then you’re in for a real treat. (But if you did, why not get a little blast from the past?) I’ll be honest, this is also a great place to go for some serious 90s fashion inspo.

Red, White & Royal Blue (2023)

Based on the hit novel by Casey McQuiston, this queer romance is everything you want in a story about the First Son falling in love with the Prince of England. They have to keep their love a secret, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have a little fun along the way. When this came out, I was a big, big fan. And it turns out, I still am, which is why it makes the list.

Boot Camp (2024)

There were many romantic comedies that came out in 2024, but this one is the best by far. Based on a Wattpad romance, it’s about a girl who, in a fit of sadness over her best friend not liking her back, decides to sign up for a fitness camp even though she’s far from fit. This is for everyone who needs to love themselves a little more. (Which, last I checked, is just about everyone.)
