Whether you just want to hibernate in the good vibes of a movie over these long winter nights or you want something to distract you from your sense of existential doom, let these movies be the catalyst.

Feel-good movies are the ones you put on and instantly feel a sigh of relief. You don’t have to worry about having nightmares or feeling worse off than you started. With these movies, currently available on Netflix, you can go in knowing that you’re going to have a good time. And what’s better than that?

Barbie (2023)

Warner Bros.

Barbie is real, and she needs to go to the human world to find her owner. The odds are pretty good that you’ve seen Barbie. Practically the entire world clamored into theaters to see it back in 2023. But if you haven’t yet (no judgement), you can now watch it on Netflix starting this month. After America Ferrera’s speech, it’s hard not to feel empowered.

The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019)

Roadside Attractions

A man with Down syndrome escapes from his care home to attempt his dream of becoming a professional wrestler, meeting a man on the road who’s on the run from his own pursuers. They team up, along with a woman who’s meant to reclaim the wrestling-loving escapee, in this heartwarming movie. Critically acclaimed, The Peanut Butter Falcon is currently only available on Netflix.

13 Going on 30 (2004)

This is what happens when a 13-year-old wakes up in the future in her adult body. Let’s be honest: Sometimes the best feel-good movie is the one you’ve seen before. You can just shut off your brain a little and let the plot wash over you. Enter 13 Going on 30, currently only streaming on Netflix. Watch this when you want to watch something familiar.
