Have you seen the new official trailer for Bridgerton Season 3? If you weren’t already hyped, now’s the time. Following the plot of the fourth book in the Bridgerton series, Romancing Mister Bridgerton, it features Penelope and Colin finally getting the romance they deserve. And, best of all, it’s the steamy plus size romance we’ve all been waiting for. (And they didn’t include the unfortunate plot in the book where Penelope loses weight.)

Here’s the bad news, though: Season 3 doesn’t come out until May 16, 2024–and that’s just part one. Part two comes out June 13. So what should you do in the meantime? If you want some more hot plus size love stories, there are plenty of stellar romance novels to fit the bill. They’re hot, they’re fun, and the male leads are all enamored with every bit of the main character, even at her size. No one’s losing weight here. They’re just falling in love with each other exactly as they are. I’ve personally read every book on this list, so get ready for the best plus size romance novels to tide you over before Season 3 comes out.

One to Watch by Kate Stayman-London

As much as plus size fashion influencer Bea loves dating reality show Main Squeeze, she can’t help but write a scathing blog post about how they’d never let a fat woman compete on the show. The producers hate the negative publicity her post is garnering, so they ask her to be on the show as the next season’s bachelorette. Now she must figure out who of her many suitors are there for the “right reasons.”

If the Shoe Fits by Julie Murphy

Cindy’s life in New York hasn’t paid off when it comes to her fashion career. She decides to move back home to live with her step mom who happens to be the producer of a reality dating show. Step-mom needs a few last minute fill-ins since a few women got dropped, and now she wants Cindy and her step-sisters to be on the show. Who’s the bachelor of the season? The guy Cindy flirted with on the plane out to California. This’ll be interesting!

A Merry Little Meet Cute by Julie Murphy

When Bee gets the lead role in a made-for-TV Christmas romance movie, she’s excited to finally get her big break. The only problem? She has to hide her other career as an adult film actress. Nolan, the Christmas rom com’s male lead, is a former boy band member set on re-establishing his career, so when he recognizes Bee as his favorite adult actress, he’ll have a hard time keeping his hands to himself.
