This Is What I Hope For You In Your Twenties

By

Let your 20s be the starting line to a new life.

I hope these upcoming years bring out your true self. I hope you finally stop letting your fears control your every move. I hope you make a lot of mistakes. I hope you learn how to breathe on your own. I hope you let go of those who hurt you. I hope you become so in love with yourself. But most of all, I hope these are the years you ultimately start living.

I know you can feel that fire within you, I can feel it too. Your body is begging you to make a change, to bring your potential to life. You have been ignoring your call for too long now. Please learn how to listen to your body, it is constantly speaking to you. Not only does it want to keep you safe, but it wants you to grow.

What is it that you want to do? Do you want to become a writer? Do you want to fix your relationship? Do you want to travel the world? Take a chance and do it. The rest of the world doesn’t have to agree with you in order for it to be right. Even if you are not sure of what is it that you want to do, do something. Stop waiting for a miracle to happen and never allow anyone dim your light.

Overall, I hope you find the keys to those chains that have been keeping you underground for so long, restraining you from the possibility of a full life. Truth is, I am terrified that 20 or 30 years from now you will look back and regret everything you could have but didn’t do because there is no sadder death than the one that happens while you’re still breathing. It is not too late to start living.
