5 Reasons Why Every Girl Needs to Take A Hiatus From Boys Sometimes

By

1. To remember that you’re the best thing that’s ever happened to you.

Let’s be real. Sometimes we forget that. We get so entangled in our relationships, situation-ships, hookups, etc. and we forget that regardless, we’re the best thing that’s ever going to happen to us. It’s not only refreshing but necessary to take that in from time to time.

2. Because you will have no excess stress.

How amazing right? No worrying about if or when you should send a text, (even though we shouldn’t be so preoccupied with these things anyway), no silly fights, no one to answer to. Being involved with someone in any way, shape, or form takes up a bit of mental space. If you decide to take a breather from this altogether, you allow yourself for some much-needed mental clarity.

3. You learn more about you.

If the only thing you have to focus on is you, how can you NOT learn about yourself? Don’t get me wrong, you should still learn about yourself in a relationship. This type of complete solitude just brings about a different sense of self-awareness and self-discovery.

4. Your only priorities will be you, your family, and your friends.

Learn something new about yourself. Take up a new hobby. Find your life passion if you haven’t yet. Hang out with a family member you wouldn’t usually spend time with. Travel somewhere you’ve always wanted to go. Make a fancy dinner and drink nice wine by yourself. Go out with your friends Friday AND Saturday. Most of all, make memories. For you.

5. Because you’re making room for the best situations to unfold.

The main reason to do this is for yourself. But this can be beneficial for that special relationship you hope to have one day. Maybe you don’t want it right now, but one day.

Taking time to focus solely on the loving and caring of you is the best thing you can do for yourself, and for everyone else that could potentially come into your life.
