One Day I’ll Learn How To Walk Away From You

Tamara Bellis

I question my self-worth every day.
I hope one day I wake up and have the strength to walk away from you for good.

I am worth more than being told that I am not your priority.
I am worth more than being told that you can not see me in your future. At all.
I am worth more than a hot night full of passion, soft touches and longing kisses, but the next day you act as if it meant nothing.
I am worth more than no compliments.
I am worth more than a good morning and night text that feel more like a chore.
Yet what matters the most is the communication in between morning and night.
I am worth more than your inconsistent attention.
I am worth more than not knowing where I stand in your life, and you not able to give me an answer to this day.
I am worth more than being told that you could never love me.

I question my self-worth every day. And the days are long.
I pray that one day I have the strength to walk away and love myself fully, instead of investing my love and time into you.

But, today is not that day.
