When You Feel Like A Nobody

You are amazing. There is no one like you in this entire universe. There is no one who has gone through what you have gone through and survived the way you have. There is no one like you who enjoys the same things that you enjoy. That place where you find your inner most peace, no one experiences that like you. The memory you have of that one special conversation, that concert, or that rush of excitement… no one can take that from you and no one experienced it quite like you.

When you feel like the odd one out…the ugly duckling…the weirdo…remember that you are one of a kind and this world needs you.

Life can beat you down and try to make you feel insignificant. It can try to make you feel like you are nothing in this world with what it can throw at you. It can try to make you think you can’t do anything right.

What it can’t do is respond for you. It cannot determine how you respond to it. It can try, but it fails every single time. You determine how you respond to the world, and your experiences can help others.

When you’ve lost a close loved one, you’re a testament as to how to survive. When you’ve been rejected, you’re showing others it’s possible to be strong. When you’re sick, your mental resilience is proof that you are stronger than the illness. Your life is a testimony.

There is nothing to be ashamed about. There is nothing to be embarrassed about. Take joy in the things that bring you joy. Like the things you like. Be proud of who you are and where you’ve come from.

Don’t forget to keep learning. The changes that you’ve seen from who you were back then to who you are today are only possible with the ability to learn and adapt. You have adapted and changed as time went on. Adaptation makes you stronger. Learning makes you stronger. Be a lifelong learner.
