Here are the movies and shows that should be on your radar this weekend (3/22):

Bodies Bodies Bodies (2022). Streaming on Netflix. A group of wealthy Gen Z-ers ride out a hurricane together at an isolated mansion. After playing a mafia/murder in the dark style party game, the power goes out and the guests begin dying one by one. This is a great comedy horror movie that is a fun twist on a whodunit slasher, so if you’re excited by lines like “Don’t call her a psychopath. That’s so ableist.” queue it up.

You’ll Never Find Me (2024). Streaming on Shudder. An Australian horror-thriller movie about an isolated man who gives a strange woman shelter from a violent storm one night. It’s unclear who should be afraid of who. As the storm rages, the night becomes more dangerous.

There’s Something in the Barn (2023). Streaming on Netflix. A comedy horror movie about an American family who relocates after inheriting a farm in Norway. As Christmas approaches, the family discovers elves living in the barn. Going against local customs, the family refuses to follow the “Barn Elf Rules” and face the bloody consequences.

The Camp Host (2024). Streaming on Tubi. A VanLife couple and their dog spend their night at a campground, but the owner is a psychotic killer. This looks like a fun campground slasher movie with a scary senior citizen as the villain. “Her camp, her rules.”

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live (2024). First episode is streaming for free. Now that the first four episodes of this Walking Dead spinoff featuring Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Rick (Andrew Lincoln) are up, the series is worth diving into for any Walking Dead fans, even ones who dropped off after Glenn’s death. The first episode reveals what happened to Rick after the bridge explosion in season 9 and then goes on to reveal more aspects of the community Rick now lives in and how he miraculously reconnects with Michonne. You can watch the first episode for free and you can watch all episodes with an AMC+ subscription (the $9/month subscription includes horror streaming service Shudder). The final two episodes of the first season are forthcoming in the last two weeks of March.
