You Deserve To Love Yourself

By

If only it were as easy to find yourself as it is to lose yourself…

This world we live in is filled with many different types of people, we all know that. So why are we all so shocked when we discover that not everybody has the same heart as we do? Why do we fail to see that some people don’t have the same intentions as we do? That is a question that I ask myself almost every day.

There is a saying, ‘everybody you meet, you meet for a reason, whether they be a lesson or a blessing.’ That couldn’t be any more true.

We all have different hearts, different visions and different perspectives of the world. That is what makes meeting new people so interesting, discovering all these different qualities. Although it’s a beautiful process meeting other people, it’s an unfortunate reality that some only cross our paths to hurt us and leave us damaged.

People walk in and out of our lives to expand our vision of the world, to show us things we want, and steer us away from things we don’t want. However it is the lessons we take from these encounters with these people that make us who we are.

You cannot let somebody else obtain the power to take you away from you. You are a beautiful asset to this world and the world needs you. Don’t give your beauty away as though it is nothing because in reality, it is everything.

Finding yourself in this great big world is hard, you have to create yourself, discover your morals, and find the things that make you laugh and even cry. But that journey you take can only be lead by one person, and that is YOURSELF. Do not let other people break that path for you. Create yourself with enough confidence where you shine and become impossible to lose, no matter what.

Don’t wait for somebody else to love you, find and create love within yourself and embrace it.

See different parts of the world. Learn new things. Make yourself smile. Discover your favourite things through encountering different experiences. Open your world up to seeing bigger and better things each and every day.

It may seem hard being a teenager, not having a lot of money, maybe not having a license. You may feel as though you have no freedom and sense of self, however loving yourself doesn’t come from having those things, it comes from within you. Someone who is 30 may have it all, a car, a job, a house, a partner. However they wont have true happiness unless they have love and appreciation within themselves. It is important to recognize and appreciate your heart, embrace your wonderful qualities and features, love your imperfections and find beauty within your intentions.

Spend time alone and ENJOY it. Do not let somebody else define you and tell you who you are. And do not let somebody else take that precious and unique sense of self from you.
Find that confidence, find that strength, find that beauty and use it. Use it to your power to create a life worth living. Mould your own happiness, then allow somebody to join it when the time is right.

Don’t let heartbreak make you realize these things. Don’t let heartbreak be the time for you to learn to value yourself. Be selfish, do things for yourself and don’t regret anything that makes you smile. After all, you are not put on this planet to meet somebody else’s expectations. You are here on this planet to create your own and be the best version of yourself you could ever be.

It may have taken me a few negative experiences and rocky journeys to learn all these things. But these lessons are things I should have known from the beginning. That’s life, you learn through each and every experience you encounter. If you’re not learning, you’re not living. You can’t hate yourself over a few silly mistakes; all you can do is pick yourself back up and redefine who you are as a person, with extra love and care this time. Don’t be too hard on yourself.

You do not need to please everyone. You do not need to do things you are not comfortable doing. All you need to do is keep yourself happy and healthy. The consequences of your actions affect you, so why not make the consequences positive ones? Why not do all you can to make yourself smile without feeling guilt for other people? After all, they are responsible for themselves as well, if they are unhappy, they can change things for themselves. That’s not to say you cant help them, just don’t lose yourself in doing so.

It is important to take pride within your body, mind and soul, trust your instincts, follow your heart and chase your dreams.

Have faith that everything in this world happens for a reason and everything will fall into place. God will never throw at you something that you can’t handle so use your strength and get through each day with a smile.

You can do anything, as long as you love yourself.
