The routine of doing yoga every day let me take back some control, however small, while I navigated a situation I had never prepared for. While I may never shake my epilepsy, I can always turn to the peace and positivity offered by yoga no matter how difficult things may become.

It doesn’t matter if you weigh eighty pounds or a hundred and eighty pounds – if your body functions, it is perfect.
As humans, we have an innate need to be a part of the whole. Some people find that in church; I find it in the yoga studio. We are all there to further ourselves. To meditate. To be more in tune with our bodies. To learn to breathe again.
I find that I have a much improved mind body connection. I’m able to effectively relax my muscles.
