Following God is not a competition, not a fleeting pleasure, not something that can negatively consume you and leave you empty, and still longing to be filled.
Faith is not conditional, not something that changes when the world doesn’t go your way. Faith has a foundation—so build yours in Him and don’t let it be shaken.
We spend so much time getting ready for this future, stressing over what hasn’t happened, and setting plans for what’s next that we forget to live in the moment. We forget to celebrate how far we’ve come. We forget that life isn’t always going to unfold how we want it to—but maybe that’s the most beautiful part.
I am going to stand strong in you because you are my promise, because you are my hope, because you are my strength and you never fail me.
You are not the evil, the negative, the pain of this world; you are a child of the King.
If you really want something, the first step starts with you.
What’s supposed to be ours will come, what’s meant to be will fall into place, what’s right will feel right and we won’t have to force it.
The truth is, our lives are going to be hard, even if and when we pray or listen or rely on Him. But in all things, all moments, all days, all challenges—He is good.
Because our God is far bigger than anything here on earth—so what do we have to be afraid of?
The truth is, when it’s right, you will know. You will have this sense of everything around you—peace, understanding, joy, rest. You won’t be afraid.
