Running Away From Your Problems
I had life. Whatever it was, I had in my hands — a thing called “life.”
I started having doubts about nearly everything. I started to wonder what it was that made humans feel complete. I wondered if there was some underlying reason I did not.
As long as you’re always the one leaving, you’re always the one in control.
We might be making mistakes, but we’ve learned to coax ourselves into believing it’s right and okay to avoid dealing with them.
We all want resolutions as simple as purchasing a plane ticket, updating our “Current City” on Facebook and moving on with our lives, but we forget that our emotional ties run deeper than that.
Whenever someone complains to me about the city now, blames it for all their unhappiness, I want to tell them that it’s probably them, not the city. If they moved, they might buy themselves some time but as soon as the novelty wore off, all of their demons would come out and play again.
