Waking up to your wife crying in bed next to you is pretty much the worst thing in the world.
I know you’re home and getting out of your comfort zone seems implausible, but it’s not.
So, here’s your situation: You got laid off. Or you left your job. Or you just can’t find what you’re looking for. Regardless of your personal situation, any of the above means you are unemployed.

When don’t even have the solid floor of a rejection to bounce your future applications or searches off of, not even having something to catalyze your indignant “Oh yeah, I’ll show you,” futility seems like the easiest thing to hold on to.
Metaphorically or literally, you will be hungry. Hungry for something to do, somewhere to go, some point to getting up in the morning.
