If you are struggling with a lot of negativity, it’s best to step back and check where it is coming from.
I often look up at the night sky, a cup of tea in my hands. This is especially on the days I encounter negativity and people being cruel to me.
When you surround yourself with endless optimism, you become more positive yourself.
This is me deciding I can’t control everything and I have to be okay with that. This is me deciding things will be okay – somehow, someway.
Toxic people are manipulative, codependent, and reliant on you to deal with the overwhelming negativity in their lives. They are not just people with problems – they are people who don’t take responsibility for those problems.
Revenge does nothing but break your heart even further. But choosing to forgive, to let go, to stop worrying so much about getting even and instead embracing what lies ahead of you—you are brought back into the light again.
I took this interesting lesson from watching my cats’ behaviour for a day. They are always happy, because they live in the moment. Their biggest concern is where their next meal comes from, which is usually in their bowls same time everyday. Now I recognise as humans it is so hard to live like this, but think of it this way, that thing you’re worrying about? It’s not going to go away because you’re worrying about it.
