I will choose you, even in the doubt. Even in the moments we both hesitate, wondering whether this is love. I will accept that we are flawed and imperfect, and still I will love you anyway.
How I Will Choose You
I will choose you,
because I do not see another choice
that ends as beautifully.
Not another choice I would rather make.
I hope that you choose love again and again and again, no matter what has happened to you in your past. Don’t give up on it. Your entire being is composed of it.
Choices don’t linger forever.
I love what you say in our silence. When there are no words to be shared between kisses. When our eyes are closed and my arm is draped across your chest.
The second we stop choosing the person we love, again and again every day, we have already left them.
First impressions are not last impressions. If I judged everyone I knew based on first impressions, I would not have the lasting friendships I have today.
I’m not the best at anything. But I can tell you, I’m damn near close to being the best at loving people.
We are all healing back into our original wholeness by reintegrating all of our forgotten parts. The more inner integration work that is done, the more choices can be made consciously through thoughts and feelings of love and security rather than subconsciously through thoughts and feelings of lack, limitations and fear.
There are plenty of other people who want to have children. I don’t need to be one of them.
