Eventually I let go of trying to figure it out, flowing or not flowing, who knows, and simply enjoyed what we were all there to enjoy, what we’re always here to enjoy.

If you’re questioning your sexuality or know you’re different from our hetero-normative society, talk to some friends or adults that you can trust. They are a great sounding board for life advice all around. And they can be there if you need them when/if you decide to come out.
5. “You don’t really look gay.”
I had never really given it much thought because there was a big part of me that always knew instinctively. Then, in my early 20s I realized that people are actually probing for specific instances of my raging homosexual tendencies.
Maybe it’s a stage. And maybe it’s not. But either way, I don’t want him to ever feel like he wasn’t able to express himself because his parents didn’t support him.
But then we get to question #34: “Male donors: From 1977 to the present, have you ever had sexual contact with another male, even once?” The fateful answer “yes” to question #34 ends in a lifetime ban from ever donating blood — and why? Implicitly, this ban marks “gay blood” as inherently unclean, regardless of the preventative measures taken to avoid contraction of blood borne pathogens or viral infection.
