Getting Over Him
You are not empty without love.
You have to stop feeling sorry for yourself because one day, you’re going to forget him.
You know it won’t be like this forever. I mean, you hope. Because that’s what your friends and parents say. That’s what every advice article says. That’s what I’ve even said before. But, will you? Will he or her? Will I? Can you ever stop loving the person you gave your heart to? Can you ever heal that part of your heart that they took from you?
You’re overestimating how many people are judging you.
Remember that time you honestly thought you weren’t going to survive? Well look at you, surviving and shit. Once the relief sets in, you become thankful for the lessons you learned. You are able to acknowledge what the relationship taught you and you no longer spend sleepless nights obsessing over the end.
This, no matter how much it does not make sense at the moment, is your clean-slate beginning.
You may have let go of him, you may be in love with him still, but you need to ask yourself this: Do you want him back for the right reasons? Does he deserve a place in your heart? Are you willing and able to love him enough to forgive him, to bring him back in? And is he worthy?
It makes you angry that you still care. You hate that you still wonder if he misses you at all. If he regrets anything at all. You want to be the kind of girl that can flip her hair and the boy and not be bothered. But you are human.
