Following God is not a competition, not a fleeting pleasure, not something that can negatively consume you and leave you empty, and still longing to be filled.
We spend so much time getting ready for this future, stressing over what hasn’t happened, and setting plans for what’s next that we forget to live in the moment. We forget to celebrate how far we’ve come. We forget that life isn’t always going to unfold how we want it to—but maybe that’s the most beautiful part.
I am going to stand strong in you because you are my promise, because you are my hope, because you are my strength and you never fail me.
You are not the evil, the negative, the pain of this world; you are a child of the King.
Because our God is far bigger than anything here on earth—so what do we have to be afraid of?
At the end of the day, no matter how small we feel, or how little of an impact we think we’re making, God can (and will) use us for big things.
God didn’t give us a simple path; He didn’t tell us exactly how to navigate our days. But He did promise a perfect plan—one that is continually unfolding with our every step, every breath.
Don’t let fear hold you back. Your God is here—for you, for me, for all of us—calling us home.
God, please strengthen me and give me your love—pour it into my spirit. Let it warm me, let it course through my veins, let it remind me that in you, I can do all things.
I’m going to step forward in faith, with confidence, with hope that whatever I face I won’t have to face alone. Because with God in my heart, I won’t.
