“I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.” — Psalm 120:1
There were things I learnt which must now be slowly unlearnt. I could no longer allow a crisis of identity and belonging to be escalated into a crisis of self-worth. I could no longer allow a conversation about everything that I am to be overtaken by everything that I am not.
Know that no matter what happens next, you have a God who loves you. And there is nothing to fear.
No man who loves you will make you feel as if you’re compromising yourself to be with him. Because that’s not love, that’s manipulation.
You have a right. To tell your story. To be heard. To be bold and fearless and unafraid.
All the power you need is already within you. You just need to spark it up and light your fire.
Today, tomorrow, and the day after next, I’ve chosen to see the road ahead as a promise of hope. Of possibility. And I’m going to trust that path—wherever it may lead.
