I tried to be the perfect Christian, and it turns out that God just needed me to be myself.
Because I’m going to be honest; this whole Christian thing? I’m not always great at it.
She’s been taught to love with the love of Christ. She has a heart for people and believes there is still some good left in humanity. She may get hurt more often than not, and may be seen as a source of ridicule – but it does not make her any less whole.
True faith is choosing to accept that there are things you might not understand, might not be able to witness, or go back in time and experience, but that doesn’t make them any less real.
Remember when He said your name. When you heard His voice audibly and it absolutely shook your bones and satisfied your soul entirely.
Be an active Christian. Not a timid Christian. Not a passive Christian. Not a perfect Christian. But one who loves with everything you have because that is how our Father first loved us.
Being a Christian is not about making your life spotless, but rejoicing in the beautiful mess you were created to be. And doing your best to honor God in all your imperfection because you are His.
We’re here to try harder in telling them that they are not alone in this battle, in reminding them that we’ve been there, that they will overcome as well.

I’ve always been a driven, independent girl. I’ve gone after what I wanted, pursued my passions, and been incredibly happy accomplishing my goals and seeking the Lord. But as I’ve gotten older, it’s become clear to me that I’d rather spend my life pursuing goals with someone else than alone.
