This year I thought I might reflect on how to get to this place, how to live and approach life so that at 30, you can honestly feel like you’ve left nothing on the table.
Buying a house
In order to navigate the process smoothly, compromise will be a valuable skill. Similar to dating and finding your perfect match, in searching for your first home it’s important to get clear on your wants versus needs, your firm deal breakers, and ability to analyze the pros and cons.
Stability isn’t about working a 40 hour a week job for someone else anymore. We want to run our own game.
But if I stood there and said, “going to college is the worst sin you can force your kids to commit”, or “you should never vote again” or “World War II was not a holy war” or “never own a home again”, I would probably be lynched on the spot.
