Being An Extra
Writing about mental illness has never been something I’ve shied away from. In fact, it’s one of the things I’m most proud of.
Take yourself out on a date. Being alone is not the same as being lonely. And sometimes, being in your own company is exactly the right remedy you need.
Once a month (at least) we hop on the Moody Express and take a week-long trip to Emotionally Unstable Town. But what happens when this trip exceeds its booked time and well over-stays its original not-so-welcome visit?
Sagittarius, you might begin your month thinking that you have a communication issues with your partner.
Whenever the couple I’m being tagged along with goes for a shopping spree, I would offer help on carrying their purchases so they could hold hands while walking. I don’t think of it as a form of slavery; I just have to make sure the couple spends quality time with each other and carrying shopping bags spoils that moment.
“My huge, fat, lazy male cat would take hot dogs and go feed them to a stray cat and her kitten.”
You look into the mirror, and you can already track the extra inches of fat hanging on the sides of your hips.
He never calls you buddy or pal. He never mentions how you’re just like a sister to him either, because he doesn’t want you to see him that way.
We feel compelled to hide because we have yet to find someone who validates us as we are. But this only does harm to your mind and body. And what better person to support you than the one who knows you best; you.
