4 Word Stories
Three years ago, in a creative writing class, I was given a writing assignment that has since stayed with me: Go home and write a memoir in 6 words; no more, no less.
I worked from 2pm – 11pm at a gas station In one of the nicer cities around here and I had a gentlemen look me in the eyes and ask if I’m enjoying my last day on earth.
I use these four phases of the story as bullet points when I’m outlining, then I begin writing once I have a little blurb for each.
What do you want to be remembered for?
Life isn’t going to go your way just because you’re a good person. It’s going to be filled with hardships and adversity that you’ll struggle to survive — but you will survive.
