I Understand You Need Time To Heal

I understand you need time to heal. What happened to you must have been quite painful. Perhaps, this is why you hesitate to hold any helping hand that is extended towards you. It must have changed you as a person and now it makes you doubt any stranger who is kind to you for no reason. I know you hate how you no longer are the innocent dreamer that you once were. But believe me, the new you is made out of the survival instinct of your psyche. You don’t have to be apologetic about it nor feel ashamed. Just give your wounds the time to heal and be open to whatever it takes to reach there, as long as it is not self-destructive.

I understand you need time to heal. We all are different people on different journeys in this life. My life lessons are not the same as yours. My wounds and battle scars are not the same as yours. Hence, I never expect you to handle your battles and your wounds the same way I do. I won’t judge you for the amount of time you need to get back up and move forward in life. If you are tired, please go ahead and rest. Take as much time as you need to find hope again. Our life is a journey, not a competition.

I understand you need time to heal. There will be days on this journey when you feel you have finally moved on, only to find yourself back to square one again. Don’t feel defeated. Some days are good, some days are bad, some days are worse but some days are the best too. Always remember, “If winter comes, can spring be far behind?”. Give yourself a break and allow yourself to feel the emotions and understand why they exist. This way, you can make your peace with them and finally let go of them. Day by day, nothing may seem to change. But when you compare yourself to where you were when the hurt happened and where you are today, you will see how far you have come and how much you have grown.

I understand you need time to heal. Life is not about any destination but about the people and situations we meet on this journey. Some of them will hurt us intentionally and some will do it inadvertently. They will end up making us question the journey and ourselves. On such occasions, take the time to heal. Because some wounds don’t just exist on your skin. Some wounds go deep into your soul. So you must take your time to heal them and free yourself from the karmic cycles that you keep repeating.
