Loving Deeply Exhausted Me

Here’s to the individuals who loved deeply, ever more than the other person in your life.

Loving deeply meant that I accepted whatever love terms were given to me just because I wanted you to stay.

Loving deeply meant that I had to bend backwards more often than not, sometimes far too much that it made me sad and so very empty.

Loving deeply meant that I had to overthink every conversation and response I gave to try and made sure that the conversation was light and casual.

Loving deeply meant that I had exhausted all means of staying mentally sane in love.

Loving deeply meant that I closed my eyes to all the red flags that were appearing and followed blindly just because my heart told me to do so.

Loving deeply meant that I had to lose myself in the midst of obsessing over you.

Loving deeply meant that I allowed myself to revolve my world and time around you, just so that I could be with you.

Loving deeply meant that I totally forgot that the other person was supposed to be there to add joy to your wonderful life, not to become your entire happiness.

Loving deeply meant that I forgot what it felt like to be happy alone.

Loving deeply meant that I had driven myself crazy in my mind rethinking scenarios again and again.

Loving deeply meant that I had forgot what it felt like to enjoy the fun and simple times and not worry about every fucking thing.

If the one you love deeply is the right person, they will never make you lose yourself and your light. If they aren’t, then no matter how deeply you love, it will still be wrong and everything will still be tiresome no matter how hard you try to keep your love in place.

If your ocean-deep love was in the right place, your love would never, ever be too overwhelming for you and for them. TC mark
