This Is To All The Women In My Life

I think your mind is your beauty.

The way you create art with your hands. Building empires out of nothing.

The way you flow into each day. Giving your mind, body, and soul.

The way you give yourself without asking for much in return.

The way you reinvent yourself. Even when you’re afraid-

you jump.

Even when you hit the ground-

you soar.

The way you bring calm to a storm.

The way you manage to care for your family, friends, and self is a skill that you shouldn’t take for granted.

The way you take on each day with a smile, even when it’s the most difficult of times for you.

The way you welcome strangers, with a kind and open heart.

The way you don’t let failed relationships close you off to new beginnings.

The way you’ve lost love, yet continue to love in abundance.

The way you’ve managed to carry the world on your shoulders never asking for anything in return.

The way life has left scars on you mentally and physically, and you, you’ve taken only the lessons and left anything else behind.

The way you send light to those who have hurt you, and let them go.

The way you explore new destinations; moving mountains.

The way you show strength through resilience, you are the river that continues to flow.

The way you left behind security to travel across the world to follow your dreams. To discover new dreams.

This is for you.

You do so much, put up with even more. I just want you all to know that it is okay to be vulnerable, to feel sad, to say NO, to love your body whatever shape and size. Don’t ever let anyone tell you anything less. Don’t ever let someone make you feel as if you are not enough or that it’s your fault. It’s not. You are enough, more than enough. This is to all the wild women in my life, please continue to take up space in this world. It just wouldn’t be the same without you all.
