Even In Uncertainty, I Choose To Be Free

By

I don’t know what the future holds, but I know the one who holds it. And I know that no matter what happens, God is going to take care of me. Even while living and moving through uncertainty. So with that in mind, I will choose to be free. Yes, I will choose to be free. Even in uncertainty.

Even while living with brokenness.

Even while dealing with hateful and cruel human beings.

Even with the stress and trauma that has weighed heavily on my heart, my mind, and my spirit.

Even in the midst of so much unfairness and injustice.

Even when things have not worked out as I hoped.

Even when things feel like they are falling apart. I can still choose to be free and lean right into all the uncertainties.

I can choose to find my joy, laugh, and hold on to my smile. And I can remain grateful for what I do have. I have God, I have my family, I have some chill friends and great support systems, great health, access to food and clean water, a roof over my head, and another day of life. And most importantly, I have someone incredible staring right back at me in the mirror – me. And she is going to be okay, no matter what comes her way.

I don’t want to live my life stressed out and constantly worrying about what’s next. I could just live in the moment and have faith that everything will fall in place as it should. I can still take some risks, get some new goals and dreams in place, and pursue them with a fierce tenacity that no one can stop or break. That’s real freedom. I’ll just take things a day at a time for now. And I’ll move through this time we’re all living in with as much ease and peace as I can too. I hope you will consider doing the same. Don’t lose yourself or your hope or your happiness to that which you cannot control or change.

I’m going to be free and I’m going to do it on purpose. Even in uncertainty.

Will you join me?
