We do our best living when we live without fear. When we dare to finally conquer all our hopes and our dreams and turn them into reality. When we venture into the open arms of mother nature. When we fully engage ourselves in the culture of a place, when we live like the locals and when we talk with our hearts open.
But right now, we’re all stuck in a place where everything stays the same and the routine is unavoidable. We are all too caught up in our everyday tiny dramas that we forget there’s a whole world of possibilities waiting for us out there, somewhere and everywhere. We beg and we wait and we just wish for someone or something or even somewhere to take us away.
What we fail to understand ad what we don’t see that to make dreams a reality and to fully immerse ourselves in the experience, we need to dive in head first, fearless of the unknown, and have a heart full of curiosity and an open mind with memories to fill. We need to free up some of that memory space and replace them with new adventures and experiences.
What we need to do is to stop for a minute and think about everything we do. Think of what makes us happy. It doesn’t have to have a reason or a purpose, it just has to make you happy. If you’re not happy, nothing else matters.
To know if you’re living, you need to stop and ask yourself is all these really what I want? Or do I crave something more?
So, stop and take a minute from the hustle and bustle of the city life. Take a deep breath and just take it all in. Live like you were a baby who just opened their eyes for the first time. Live like you were never here before. Create memories with people who mean the most because when time fades away, all you’ll have is these memories to look back on.
Answer these questions, don’t live just for “okay.” Live for something more, something heart-stopping, something that makes you feel like living is worth it, live for the people and laughter and memories you’ll never forget.
But most importantly, the only person you should be living for is yourself. You should come before anyone else in your life. Only with that, can you give yourself to others, only through living life in your own way can you bring the same joy to others, by showing them that they can do so too.
I’ll admit, right now all these words I’m saying is nothing but a fairy tale I wish for to come alive. Yes, it’s not my reality, but someday it will be. When I have finally pushed myself through the cages which the city locks us in, I’ll be free, and maybe one day I’ll look back on this and say I wasn’t wrong and this isn’t just a dream after all.
If you can dream it, you can do it.
It’s all in your own hands, the question now is: what’s stopping me? What do I want? Why can’t I go make it into reality?
With that, I end this, but keep this in mind: It’s your life, it’s your fight.
