It seems absurd to say it, but there is now a large percentage of America that views us (liberals) – also Americans who love our country and just want to be allowed to live and work and love in peace – as the enemy.
We’ve witnessed these same small, irrevocable steps towards totalitarianism in other many other countries and I’m afraid to say, I think we’re watching it here.
Why are we so terrified of talking to our kids about sexual orientation? Are we scared to shatter their innocence?
For every person, I wish God’s just judgment, but even more so, God’s loving mercy.
When it comes to questioning gender roles and the social constructs created by society, I have always felt that it creates some rift and controversy between people.
Because well… racism.
We are (usually) a bunch of upper-year students living in residence with a community of (usually) first-year students to whom we provide academic, social, and emotional support through community building events.
Allow me to make my case…
If a space that was designed for us to revel in our queerness, our brownness, our language is wrecked, where else can we go? And the answer is nowhere.
