Gizmodo Releases Boring Photos of 100 ‘Naked’ People Captured by Airport Body Scans

“At the heart of the controversy over ‘body scanners’ is a promise: The images of our naked bodies will never be public,” starts Gizmodo’s recent report titled One Hundred Naked Citizens: One Hundred Leaked Body Scans. “U.S. Marshals in a Florida Federal courthouse saved 35,000 images on their scanner. These are those images.”

Our privacy has been breached. The U.S. Marshalls in a Florida Federal Courthouse has saved the photos of our white blob-like blurriness. They even expose the weird blue hovering rectangle that sometimes appears on random parts of our blurriness.

In its report, Gizmodo’s warns of the real danger the photo leak presents – that one day in the future, pictures of our naked bodies (taken by the ‘real’ nudie scanners) will be saved, leaked, and released by Gizmodo for everyone on the internet to see.

“That we can see these images today almost guarantees that others will be seeing similar images in the future,” Gizmodo writes. “If you’re lucky, it might even be a picture of you or your family.”
