Read This When You Feel Like You’re Holding Yourself Back

The truth is, you deserve all the love in the world. You deserve that deep, soul warming love that you think is only written about in books. Life is too short to accept anything less. And you know that. Yet you still put up with things that barely bring you an ounce of joy. You know this is your time. Your time to be selfish, to do whatever it is you want. The consequences are small and the opportunities are endless. Yet you stay here in this bubble that you are so terrified to pop, as if this beautiful world can’t offer you everything you truly want and need.

But my darling, you have no idea how much you deserve. How much you are worth. How perfect you are. You don’t need to wait for the right time. You don’t need to wait for the right man. The right job. There is no perfect timing. But you already know that. You already know that from all the missed opportunities and all the times you put everyone before yourself, and you lost out on something that could’ve been it. The “it” you have now been searching for for years. You are so highly aware of what you are capable of that it scares you. It holds you back. It keeps you in your comfortable little bubble, because who can imagine the unknown?

You stay up at night dreaming of all the possibilities, only to wake up the next day to shut them all down. You know you are made for so much more than what you are accepting. Accepting who people think you should be. Accepting what people think you should do. And every time you listen, you get let down even more than the last time. You know you need to learn your lesson, but you keep repeating the same cycle. Over and over again. Dream it, push it away. Almost feel it, run away. When will it stop? When will you finally believe me when I say you can do it?

It isn’t even a question of can you, it’s why don’t you? Why don’t you believe in yourself more? Who hurt you so badly that you can barely pick your head up in the morning? Who tried to break you so badly that you can’t look anywhere but down? Who touched your soul so badly that you are searching for the answers that have been inside of you all along? Your time is now. It’s been now. I don’t know who you’ve been listening to — maybe that mean girl in your head. She’s great at twisting the truth. But I know you hear me. I know you are ready.

Trust me. The time is now. Take the leap of faith. I promise you, this is it.
