5 Reasons Why I Can’t Get Over You
1. You know me too well.
I gladly opened up myself to you. I told you everything, just like you do to me. I know that you’d always know when I’m sad; you’re one of the very few people who know. You can always tell if I’m faking my smile, and then you’d always know the right thing to say. I know that you know I’m in love with you, and that’s why you don’t tell me about her, that’s why we never talk about her.
2. You make me feel special.
You’ve always made me feel special and important. You tell me things you don’t tell anyone else. You make me feel like you cannot live without me and even though you’re with someone else, I’d still like to believe that I am indeed special and important to you.
3. I love all things about you.
The way you sing, the way you walk, the way you laugh, the way you smile, the way you look at me from afar. The way you stare at me when I sing, the way you listen to all my rants, the way you wrap your arms around my shoulder, the way you hold my hand, the way you handle my mood swings. The way you look when you’re asleep, the way you write, the way you play your guitar, the way you brush your hair, the way you smirk, the way you always don’t seem to care, the way you always make me care. The ways you always make me love you.
4. I have loved you too long.
I have been in love with you for too long that every single breath I take already belongs to you. I have been in love with you too long it seems like my whole life has always been about you. I have been in love with you for so long that I can’t imagine loving someone else. I have been in love with you for so long that I could no longer see why you never did love me the way I loved you. And maybe I passed some sort of barrier, the kind where you’re now in it for life, with absolutely no return.
5. I never told you how much I love you.
I love you long enough and I’ve always wanted to tell you. But I’m afraid you don’t love me this way. And so here I am, waiting, hoping, that someday you will acknowledge how special this relationship we have is. If you’d figure out you love me like this too, it would be the best thing in the world. But if you don’t, then maybe I will never get over you.
