An Ode To Lactose Intolerance
My stomach fills with bricks,
Just from looking at you.
Still, I long to consume you.
You send shards through my intestines.
When I taste you, my insides burn.
It takes days to cleanse my system of you.
They tell me to stop
But I’m addicted to you.
Life is a cycle of
Withdrawal,
Binging,
Pain,
Regret.
You hurt me
And, yet, I love you so.
