How To Attract The Reality You Want

By

Many people don’t realize it, but our thoughts control everything that happens in our lives every single day. Your brain is such a powerful thing. Gaining the ability to monitor and control these thoughts allows you to manifest the life you want to live.

Ever notice how when you’re running late you get stuck at every red light on the way? That’s not a coincidence. Your brain is probably saying, “Don’t turn red, don’t turn red,” and that’s exactly why the traffic light changes from green.

It’s a law of the universe that your thoughts will attract and create your reality. This may sound scary at first, but it is actually a very empowering thing, and if understood properly, it can seriously improve your life.

It’s not easy to control every idea your brain comes up with. Negativity pops into your head like second nature sometimes, and that’s okay, but you must try to be mindful enough to correct yourself when something mentally harmful begins to occupy your head. Eventually, if you work at this enough, your subconscious will develop a new, more optimistic outlook on yourself, your life, and your surroundings.

Filtering the comments you make about yourself is crucial for self-love and confidence. Stop saying “I’m so stupid” when you spell something wrong. Stop telling yourself that you’re fat just because you’re enjoying a bowl of ice cream. You’re not an idiot just because you dropped something. Saying these things makes your subconscious believe in them. This takes a huge toll on your self image.

Your subconscious is like a calculator. It’s great at what it does as long as it’s fed the right information. If you constantly reinforce positive self-feedback, your love for yourself will grow. Similar to how a calculator can’t do much on its own, but it’s brilliant when you insert the correct numbers, if you insert the correct words into your brain, it will begin to truly believe these things. Over time of being consistent with this, you will notice a difference in how you think of yourself.

That is just one example. This concept works in all aspects of life. Affirmations are a solid way to take control of your life. Any conflict that comes up can be sorted through if you convince your brain that the preferred outcome is the honest reality of the situation. This is because the same neurons fire from visualization as they do from actually participating in the task. For example, athletes can improve by picturing themselves practicing their skills in the same way that they would be bettering themselves by actually physically doing it.

Whatever part of your life you would like to improve can be actively worked on each night. As you’re falling asleep, repeat the affirmations to yourself. It could be anything; improving your relationship, getting a promotion at your job, making more money, etc. If you repeatedly tell yourself the thing you want to be convinced of, fully believing it each time, this will eventually become your reality.

Use this knowledge wisely—a lot of people haven’t grasped this idea yet, but it is very powerful and very real. The Law of Attraction is a foolproof plan. Keep your thoughts positive and your belief strong. Good things are coming your way.
