What I Would Say To My Depression (If Given The Chance)

I am fighting for everything. I am fighting for my writing, may it see a publishing house one day. I am fighting for my brother, may he always be as happy as his twelve year old self is right now. I am fighting for my body, may it never fail me, no matter how many meals I skip. I am fighting for the nights I stay up watching netflix, may coffee always be there to save me in the morning. I am fighting for the wind in my face on a late summer drive, may I always smile when I feel that breeze. I am fighting for my little sister who has autism, may no one hurt her no matter how quirky she is. I am fighting for my old best friend, may she always find happiness in what she does. I am fighting for my first love, may she always have blue eyes that shine like the ocean on a sunny day. I am fighting for warm coffee on a snowy day, may my coffee always be perfectly sweet. I am fighting for my small town, may it always be home. I am fighting for myself, may I never give up. And best of all, I am fighting for everyone who couldn’t, may they rest in peace.
