When You Find The Thing You Love The Most, Don’t Ever Let It Go

Contrary to Idina Menzel’s song, hold on to it, because you might never find it again.

We’re talking about things and dreams, not people.

People can come in and out of your life. There a hundred people you meet every day and a million more in your lifetime. These people can either be your friend or your lover or you enemy. But not one of them will be permanent in your life.

But for sure, one thing will stay with you forever; whether it is to write, to act, to speak, to sing, to draw or other things that you love and crave for. Your dreams will always be a part of you will never leave you.

Recently, I realized that the thing I wanted to do the most is to write. More than anything else, I want to write – not because it’s the only thing I can do, it’s because I really love it. No matter how many people tell me that I won’t get a living with writing, I don’t care. I still have a long way to go.

It doesn’t mean that I’m a writer I have to write all my life. I know I have to do something else besides writing. The catch is, the thing you love doing the most doesn’t need to earn you a living because it’s your life. Your hobby is your life. Maybe it’s not even a hobby or a dream; maybe it’s already a part of your life.

Pursuing the things you love is like fighting for a person. You have to endure every single rock that is being thrown at you and swallow all the fears you are facing. You have to constantly fight for it every day until the day you die because if you don’t, you’ll lose it.

Never forget the dreams you had just because someone told you that you’ll never make it. Always go beyond the finish line when it comes to your dreams because the finish line is really just the starting line; there’s a longer track to run and reach.

Always remember that no one can ever hold you back from doing the things you love the most. Not even the person you truly love. If a person truly loves you, he will understand that your first priority and first love will always your dreams.
