When you woke up from the wrong side of the bed and feels like everything is not working as it should be, it’s okay to not be okay.
It’s okay to mope around for a day after fighting with your besties or after failing an exam. You don’t have to force yourself to get out and forget the sadness you’re feeling.
It’s okay to have your very own “stress eating day.” If you’re feeling down and just wanted to eat ice cream all day, don’t stop yourself from doing so. A little bit of everything once in a while, isn’t bad at all.
It’s okay to cry in front of the mirror or even to your cat or dog if your heart is broken. Crying is good for the soul. Tears are words from our hearts that we can’t speak about. Know that you are not entitled to act so unfeeling, let them know you’re not okay so that they’ll somehow understand what you’re going through.
It’s okay to snob everyone when you don’t feel like talking to them or simply hang-out. There are times where we need to be alone and reflect on the things we did. Being alone doesn’t always mean that you’re lonely or miserable, sometimes you need to sort everything out just by yourself. Those people who really love you will understand you, so don’t be afraid.
Remember that you’re just a simple human being.
You can feel pain and sadness whether you like it or not. You don’t need to keep on pretending that you’re strong and not hurting. Sometimes, it’s okay to not be okay.
Because without sadness, we can never appreciate what real happiness is.
But never forget to appreciate those people who want to help you and be with you when you’re having those pitfall moments. It’s better to be with the people you love when you’re sad so you won’t be depressed. Also, it’s one way of God telling you that He’s always there for you and you are never alone during those battles of your life.
