Don’t Let Losing Him Kill You

By

They say that pain changes people. Whether that pain came from a bad breakup or an almost relationship, the effect is still the same. Us women tend to forget ourselves when we’re hurt so bad.

But please even though it feels like you’re dying inside, don’t let him kill you.

Don’t let him kill you even though it hurts so much every time you remember him. Maybe you’re regretting everything that happened between the two of you, but don’t be. Treasure the good ones. Remember those times when he once made you laugh like a kid again and made you feel like you’re the most beautiful woman in the world. Be thankful that he was once the guy who made your heart flutter.

Don’t let him kill you even though he chose another woman over you. Yes, it hurts so much after everything you’ve done for him he still had the guts to replace you just like that. You’d start asking yourself: What’s wrong with me, Am I not enough, Am I ugly, Did he really loved me, so on and so forth. Insecurities and overthinking would complete the whole process and that’s normal. But never let him make you change yourself for the sake of wanting him come back to you. You’re beautiful just the way you are and if he didn’t see that then, he’s not worthy of your tears. Change because you want to be the best version of yourself and not the latter.

Don’t let him kill you even though he badly broke your heart. It’s okay to get mad at him and hurt him using your words and heels (throw it on his face if you want to), but never let him make you a bitter, backstabbing bitch. Face him with all your might. Let the anger over flow, cry in front of him and say what you need to say; after that, slowly let go. Slowly accept the fact that everything between you and him ended. Don’t rush yourself to move on from him. It’s not easy to let go of the person who once became part of your world. Still, keep moving forward. Learn to forgive him. Forgiveness will set you both free. Easier said than done, but do it not because he needs it but because you do.

Lastly, don’t let him kill you even though he never truly loved you. Never let him be the reason for you to become a cynic when it comes to love.

Keep on believing that God has better plans for you. Be thankful that He saved you from the wrong person. Believe that everything happens for a reason. True love may be rare in this world but believe that it will happen to you in God’s timing. Make this painful experience an inspiration for you to prosper in love.

I want you to know that it’s not entirely your fault why the two of you didn’t worked out. Don’t blame yourself for everything, it will only lead to depression. Stop being so hard on yourself. Start loving yourself first and maximize your singleness. Try something new, meet new people, travel anywhere and find yourself—in that way, you’ll be ready for that once-in-a-lifetime-kind-of-love and I assure you.

It’s worth the tears and pain.
