The Strongest People Know What It’s Like To Be Broken

By

The strongest people are the ones who know pain. The ones who know what it’s like to suffer, what it’s like to hurt and what it’s like to die when everyone else is living.

The strongest people have been weak and helpless before. They had to learn how to be strong and resilient. They had to learn how to fight for their voice and stand up for themselves. They had to learn how to survive. They had to learn how to live alone when all they ever needed was a hand to hold.

The strongest people don’t get everything they want, they don’t lead perfect lives and they don’t always make the right decisions but they know how to keep going when they’re running out of fuel. They know how to find the courage after being discouraged time and time again. They have faith that their patience and their tolerance will get them very far. They know they’ve been tested and they know they can pass these difficult tests.

The strongest people understand rejection, loneliness, heartbreak and loss. They don’t have an easy past or a happy childhood. They grew up to be better people despite all the hardships they had to endure and they still love with all their hearts. They love in a protective way because they don’t want their lovers to go through anything they’ve been through.

Because when you know pain too well, you know how to love unconditionally. The strongest people will try their best to take your troubles away because they know how to be compassionate and they know how to be there for others. They find joy in sharing their strength with others because it makes them even stronger.

The strongest people, ironically, love the hardest and broken hearts, ironically, can make you feel whole again. The strongest people will always smile in the morning like they weren’t crying a river the night before.
