Depression isn’t something that is easy to escape. It also doesn’t mean that your entire life is terrible, and that you’re just constantly consumed by this unending sadness.

The black shadow is just that: a shadow, and the sunlight will stream through again soon enough, if only I remember to open the window.
If something in your life is trying to test your limits, if something is making you crazy, if something is just no longer working out, you need to find a way to make it work for you for the time being until you can do something greater about it.
Being alone doesn’t have to be scary, dangerous, or pitiful. Being alone can be enlightening. It can bring you peace. It can help you get in touch with yourself. Not only that, it can bring positivity into your life.
If somebody is causing you pain, you need to either fix that or weed the person out of your life. When I say, “fix that” I don’t mean spend four months trying to get them to change. I mean try twice and then be done with it.
What I found is that you need a willingness to learn, try, ditch the stigma around pole dancing, and be able to laugh at yourself.
When I dig that hole in my mind and don’t seem to be coming out, what I need more than anything is for you to toss me a rope.
