A Letter To Remind You That You’re Doing Just Fine

By

This is a letter is for the times when you need motivation. This letter is for when you feel the world is against you, when your day couldn’t get any worse or when you feel alone. It is not to highlight your accomplishments but to admire your strength.

I know this may not help you at the time, but I just want you to know that you’re doing just fine. Sometimes we need someone to tell us and sometimes we need to reiterate it to ourselves. I salute you for your courage and strength. At times when life seems to not be on your side and you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, please don’t hesitate to ask for help. You are never alone.

Things get tough and even the brightest people have their darkest moments. There’s no denying this. Take a step back and appreciate what a wonderful world we live in and everything you do have, and try not to dwell on things that you don’t. Every so often we find ourselves in a dark place with no sign of any escape or exits. There is a light at the end of the tunnel even when we cannot see it… Life pushes people to see how far they can bend before they break. You have been given these obstacles because life knows you’re strong enough to overcome it.

Life is so extremely hard but so incredibly miraculous. Life is putting the car window down and having the fresh breeze blow on your face, it’s driving with friends and singing at the top of your lungs. It’s laughing until your eyes start watering. It’s hugging someone you’ve missed so tightly, it’s watching someone you love be unaware of how striking they are. It’s waking up early to watch the sunrise and it’s going to bed late because night time is just as exquisite as daytime. It’s remembering those who left a little too early and those who you want there forever. We get so caught up in making a living that we forget to make a life.

I hope that things start to look up for you, and I pray to see the day your smile is from pure joy. I want nothing more than to see not just the people I love, but the other people around me living life to its full potential even if it takes a while to pull yourself together. Some days you can feel so drained, worthless and unmotivated but others you can feel on top of the world, happy and brave. But what you always have to remember is too allow these feelings as it’s what makes us human. What an amazing feeling it is to still have a heartbeat.

Let’s bring people up instead of dragging them down. Let’s strive for greatness in everything we do. You are an ‘Alice’ in Wonderland, completely lost but trying to find your way through the craziness, weird and wacky world. “You’re entirely bonkers, but let me tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
