A toxic person will lead you to believe that you are the darkest shade of grey, as they take every speck of colour left in you.

I was once told that you have to love yourself before anybody can love you. And from that day, I remember thinking that I never stood a chance.

So now, when I hear her song, or I have a bad day and I think of what she would say. I still shed a tear, but most of all, I smile.
