1. It’s okay to wake up and feel like shit
Clearly nobody wakes up looking like a Victoria Secret’s Supermodel with that gorgeous hair and bright blue eyes. It IS OKAY to wake up and feel like shit, plenty of other people feel the same, your day will get better along the way.
2. Don’t be pressured by others
“Have you signed up for college yet?” “Have you decided what you want to be?” “Have you planned out your life?” YES I hear you, you’re not alone. Don’t be rushed by others to make an incomplete decision which you know you will regret someday. Just take it as it is, one day at a time.
3 Exude confidence
The world can see it, I can see it, YOU can see it. Hold your head up high and walk as if you are strutting the runway, walk the walk and talk the talk. You’ll feel very good afterwards.
4. Don’t rush into relationships
A little personal here, but I know the feeling of seeing other lovey-dovey couples in public, holding hands and just embracing the significant other’s company knowing deep down I crave for that. BUT, I’m not ready for one and if you aren’t ready too, you shouldn’t rush into things. Things might turn out otherwise.
5. Remind yourself that you’re beautiful
Regardless of your weight, height, race, and whatever. Tell yourself everyday that you’re beautiful, confident, capable, etc. Motivate yourself!
6. Set new goals
Ever wanted to visit the country of your dreams? Ever wanted to do something adventurous?Set that as a goal and keep yourself to it. Make whatever plans you have and follow it, and each day you’re one day closer to your goal. When that day comes, it’ll be magical, I promise.
7. Meet new people, gain new insights
Make new friends, learn new things everyday, get a hobby that costs absolutely nothing, read new books and learn what’s going on lately.
8. Don’t be afraid of failure
Don’t bring yourself down just because of something you failed today. You will learn from this mistake and it probably won’t matter to you tomorrow. Failure is the mother of Success, you just gotta keep trying, and don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
9. It’s okay if you just want to be alone
It’s totally fine. You just want to plug your earpods in, turn up the volume and bring yourself into another world, think deep thoughts, etc. it’s totally okay! But don’t isolate yourself from the ones who love you for too long, or they’ll worry.
10. People come and go, even the person you thought you know best
Things will change someday, people come and they go. That’s when the heartache comes because it will be so hard to find someone just like them. But we have to move on, they may go but the memories still live on. Don’t beat yourself up because of that, seize this opportunity and meet more people!
