In our modern world, we spend a significant amount of time in school. It’s part of our daily lives as its one of the biggest facilitators of socialization. Thus, our personalities play a huge role in how we experience school and perceive our education. Unsurprisingly, each zodiac sign has their own behavior patterns when it comes to their education.
Zodiacs can be applied to multiple areas of our lives— to include education and school. Truth is, your zodiac traits do show in you as a student, and understanding your zodiac may help you become self-aware in your study habits.
It’s also worth checking your rising and Midheaven signs for further clarification.
1. Aries (March 21st-April 19th):
“….. Sorry for not exceeding what I’ve already exceeded. I literally forgot I had something way better to do.”
Aries, your fiery element rules you in the classroom. It is in your nature to never settle for less, and you make sure everyone knows it. Success fuels your motivation to do more with your studies. Have you won any scholarships, honorable titles, or awards during your academic career? If you’re an Aries, it’s a 90 percent chance.
You are an overachiever. However, you aren’t one who stays in and studies all the time. Aries tend to procrastinate, but either way you probably still somehow manage to ace a test you barely studied for. Sometimes, however, you can get slightly complacent with your success and don’t prepare enough for something…… or you had about 1,000 other things you preferred doing and forgot about it.
If you aren’t the most academically inclined student, you’re probably building your resume with leadership roles or your athletic career while maintaining pretty decent grades. If that doesn’t work, then it’s probably because you know you don’t need any of it and can succeed without it.
Being Aries, you probably will.
2. Taurus (April 20th-May 20th):
“Bs and Cs get degrees, baby.”
You’re an underachiever not because you don’t do well, but because you do the bare minimum to get by. Taurus, you can be responsible. You go to class and show punctuality most of the time. You do your work, turn it in, and average with grades. You don’t mind studying to do well on a test or taking a night in to prepare yourself.
… but that’s it. You just want to pass and get out.
You may serve leadership or get involved with other organizations because you’re considerably social, yet school just isn’t your priority. Resume building is more of your suit. You are likely more artistically inclined or worried about obtaining stability. However, you don’t like failure and refuse to put yourself in such a position.
Everyone knows that when Taurus are rested up and have nothing on their plate to worry about, they are one hell of a person to be around. Taurus, you definitely have those nights where you just can’t get up for class or turn in your work. You’re a likable person, and everyone admires how responsible you are yet can have a great time.
Either way, you probably don’t answer to anyone but yourself. Which is why we see people of your sign drop out and take another life route towards success.
3. Gemini (May 21st-June 20th):
“…… I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”
Gemini, there’s something about your “I don’t give a shit” attitude that is quite inspiring. You will shamelessly fall asleep in a class you could care less about. So if you’re on your phone…… you might care because otherwise you’d be asleep. Mostly because you can’t keep your small attention span focused during a lesson.
Keeping you in the classroom is like pinning a tiger by its toe. You don’t pay attention to the tedious, unnecessary crap. Half of your course load are classes you couldn’t care less about. You hate wasting your time doing anything you don’t want to do. You are itching to get up to go to the restroom, get a snack from your bag, or basically anything. If you’re not on your phone, you have about 5 tabs open alongside your messenger. Sending people messages about “how soooooo bored you are.”
However, Gemini, you are also a great student—only if it’s something you actually enjoy learning about. Classes pertaining to your interests are the ones you find yourself reading into and trying in. You’d just rather be home where you can multitask and listen to your music, eat snacks, talk on the phone, etc.
Geminis are definitely the ones people mistaken as the less academically inclined student. However, they are the teachers of the zodiac and thus teach themselves pretty easily. Geminis are smarter than most signs, and they can easily fool anyone with how talented and smart they can really be.
…..they just have an overactive mind that gets bored way too easily, that’s all.
(June 21st-July 22nd): “I have the right to remain silent….. anything I say can and will be held against me.”
Cancer, you’re a great student. You typically don’t have excessive absences, and you turn your work in on time. When you go to class, you aren’t the first one to raise your hand to participate in class discussion. Instead of getting into the class discussion, you sit back and listen to the responses of your classmates.
When the teacher decides to call on you, you are usually able to answer without a problem. If you don’t know it, then you sometimes just brush it off when you don’t know so no one pays any attention to you. Now, this doesn’t always mean that you don’t know anything about the discussion; you just choose to keep to yourself.
Well, that’s until someone says something really dumb. If you’re the extroverted Cancer, then there’s a great possibility you’re the class clown. Then you can’t help but turn to your neighbor and whisper a joke about what was just said. You may be introverted by nature; however, Cancers have a great sense of humor. You’re also kind, so the joke was probably lighthearted.
Cancers are commonly seen as the nice, quiet kid, or sometimes even the class comic. To say the least, this sign is a joy to have in class, even if they aren’t always the center of attention.
5. Leo (July 23rd-August 22nd):
“I’ma just wing it.”
Leos have a zest for life and live for the thrill. Considered the most “masculine” sign, Leo’s fire rules everything—including your spontaneous approach to life. Leos are sociable people who make a lot of connections—which in turn is pretty fascinating. This leads to them just “winging it”—which actually becomes a lifestyle if you’re Leo.
Leos have this distinct charm about them that allows them to glide through everything effortlessly. Leo is never sure if they’re going to have to dedicate time to sit down and do it themselves or if another person—once again—comes in clutch with the answers. You probably just met someone at a party who actually did the homework you forgot to do—and guess what, they give you the answers because they like you!
Don’t let this fool you about Leo. Leos are strong, determined, and hardworking. While you may love people doing the tedious work like homework, your highly held image isn’t going to let you be viewed as reliant on anyone else. In addition, Leos are highly intelligent people who have the ability to accurately pick and choose when to be responsible. Sometimes, Leos may impress you and do the homework you even forgot to do—and there’s a likely chance they got a better grade on it than you.
Leo is also one of the most intellectual signs who is a master at bullshitting. Be careful about underestimating this sign, because a Leo will roar when one doubts them.
……. they wing it because they can, not because they have to.
6. Virgo (August 23rd-September 22nd):
“I definitely don’t have my shit together even if it appears that way.”
A person walks into the classroom holding their class materials in their hand. We see the color-coordinated binders and the ringed pencil bag that goes inside the binder. The person unzips the bag and pulls out their colored gel pens……. it was at that moment you realized it was a Virgo.
Virgo is a highly intelligent sign who thrives on organization and efficiency. They care about their presence to the world. Virgos care a lot about what others think of them and can sometimes be labeled as people pleasers. A Virgo with their “good pen” is a forced to be reckoned with.
As a student, you’re the one people think has the good notes and the answers to the homework. You’re punctual about your attendance and assignments. You have a knack for leadership in some areas as you care about doing what’s best for others. As a matter of fact, it’s common to see Virgos make excellent grades. You like to be that student who appears so put together that it’s almost intimidating.
There’s another side to this, however. Virgos appear to have it together. In reality, their overthinking is digging a grave for their dignity to lie in. So even if you’re likely thriving or doing something right, you somehow convince yourself you’re not and must abort mission. Sometimes this can cause you to shut down and not turn in the assignment you were supposed to. However, this is rare and Virgos tend to pull through….. even if their mind is working overtime.
…… those gel pens are a cover up. You’re just spending more time on organizing your planner or color coding everything to get your mind away from your over consuming mind. It’s okay Virgo. You’re trying.
7. Libra (September 23rd-October 22nd):
“I put the ‘pro’ in procrastination.”
Let’s be real, all zodiacs can have tendencies to procrastinate. However, no one tops those born under Libra. Libra, you’re the one who can make a list of “100 things I could be doing besides schoolwork right now.” You hate school. You would rather be doing anything than schoolwork or being in class. This is partially your laziness, but it also comes from the fact that you think most of your classes are completely pointless.
You like to work and do things meaningful to you—not anyone else. You are the one to prioritize your sleep over going to class. However, you tend to do things that make you at least feel productive in return. If you have to choose between cleaning your messy house or homework, you choose cleaning. Walking your neighbor’s dog? You insist. Catching up on sleep because you were working so hard on the dishes or you put up with so many annoying people on campus that day? You deserve it, totally.
But then you wake up from your nap and realize your assignments are all due in six hours. Libras are creative individuals—therefore making bullshitting come pretty naturally to them. Similar to Taurus, it’s also common to see Libras drop out of school or take an alternative career path because they know they don’t need school.
Libra sure has a way of making things art…. to include the art of bulls**ing.
8. Scorpio (October 23rd-November 22nd):
“I am not the teacher’s pet……… I’m just kissing a** because it helps me.”
People can talk smack, but it makes sense. Scorpio, you are one who understands the importance of who you know rather than what you know. You’re very charming and an eloquent communicator. Also very smart, you understand how power and authority works.
Scorpios are overachievers in disguise. You are likely very intelligent, organized, and talented. You may be a campus leader, figure, or favorite. You’re humbled, bright, and self-motivated. However, you also aren’t perfect. That’s where Scorpio’s secret tendencies come into play. Scorpios typically don’t like people knowing their faults, to include their instructors.
If your instructor likes you, then you understand that you can establish good relations with them and get what you want. You find yourself needing this when you slip, yet your charm and on par communication makes it easier for instructors to do things in your favor. Also, you’re that person who misleads people into thinking you underperformed on a certain test or project….. all because you didn’t want to look bad if you really did mess up.
Strangely enough, everyone gets their tests back and you probably made the highest grade in the class. People then think you’re a teacher’s pet and that overly well-rounded student. As well rounded as you are, you find it amusing how people think you’re just perfect when you know that’s far from the truth.
…. but they don’t have to know that, do they?
9. Sagittarius (November 23rd-December 21st):
“First name Intellectual. Last name Shit Show.”
Sagittarius, you resemble your fellow fire signs Leo and Aries in a way. Sagittarians are dignified and hold high integrity. This sign is highly intellectual and gets a kick out of exploring different areas of life and knowledge. However, if there’s anything you like about learning, it’s the experiences in which they come from.
The Sagittarian intellect is quite impressive. However, it is also important to remember that this sign lives life to the fullest. Fire doesn’t just rule this sign’s intellect; it also rules their fun side. Sagittarius doesn’t miss out on a fun time and will jeopardize a full night’s rest for a hangover. It’s okay, however, because at least Sagittarius doesn’t miss class too often.
After all, they have to show that a Sagittarius wasn’t raised to be no b***h, and they can handle a little hangover and even class. Not to say they won’t happily take a nap or sit on their phone to pass the time. Most Sagittarians are either athletes or social butterflies who run by their own clock. Class is on your watch, so mentally you clock out. However, this doesn’t mean you won’t make sure your grades and responsibilities are taken care of.
Studying and memorizing is nothing to you. This is why you don’t typically result to cheating on assignments or tests—well, unless absolutely necessary. You typically try making things happen yourself before resulting to any help from anyone or anything else. You’d rather pull an all-nighter just to say they got that A from studying rather than making a cheat card.
Or if you’re Sagittarius, you probably gave up and made a cheat card—but then ended up learning the material from making the cheat sheet. Then you don’t even need the cheat sheet.
….. you’re a fast learner and smart as hell. Okay, we get it.
10. Capricorn (December 22nd-January 19th):
“Put together here is a manual filled with strategies on how to not be a college fuckup…… while being one.”
Ah, Capricorn. Why so serious?
You’re likely a great student for the most part. You go to class unless you absolutely cannot. This is what maneuvers you throughout your college career, and this part of your nature is extremely beneficial and even admirable. You’re the master of picking and choosing battles wisely. You are so practical and strategic in your every move.
You think ahead, such as, “I feel like there’s going to be a huge party in a few weeks, I’d rather save that absence for when I can’t make it to class.” This also shows in your study habits, such as, “I’m gonna study for this test since it’s easy, that way I can bomb the really hard one.”
Capricorn…… we get it. You’re so irresponsibly responsible. Even though you likely make good grades, perhaps it’s time to be a little honest with yourself. You spend more time strategizing than living in the moment. Either you’re so smart you don’t even know it, or you really just don’t care to over-excel at anything.
Despite your analytical and pragmatic nature, your main concern is having enough stability and something to show. Just like Taurus, you are a master at resume building rather than academics. Leadership, organization, and communication are your strong suits.
After all, you’re likely a know-it-all to some degree who doesn’t need the school anyways.
……you do it for the piece of paper anyways.
11. Aquarius (January 20th-February 18th):
“Just a forewarning I may not be attending class today…… whether it be mentally or physically.”
Aquarius, your life is probably an interesting chain of events. You’re a fun, independent, and free-spirited individual. If you’re a more responsible version of Aquarius, you show up for class and do your work; however, one thing almost every Aquarius student has in common is that their mind is in about ten different places at once.
Your 8 AM? There’s no telling what you chose to stay up all night doing that resulted in your sleeping in. When you do show up for class—probably late as usual—you really don’t want to be there. As a matter of fact, you’re probably the student who finds some excuse to leave class early. If you chose to stay, well, you’re daydreaming or thinking. Probably about how you’re about to get yourself out of some predicament you’ll be forced to confront whenever class lets out.
However, Aquarius, you are also a bright student who does well in your courses. You may have had to explain to your professors the insane chain of events that had to happen to you which put you in your position. In turn, they strangely end up liking you, which is why they never kicked you out of your classes for your excessive absences or why they curved late assignments. You have this charm that is hard to turn down.
You have your own way of doing things—you know, being a total s**t show yet somehow being one of their best students. It’s endearing, honestly.
12. Pisces (February 19th-March 20th):
“I’m just dreaming about the day I get the hell out of here.”
You are a dreamer. Your time in school is a grace period for you to visualize and make things happen for you. You are looking for new horizons to explore while seeking some ground for stability. Pisces typically doesn’t care about school— they care about the fact it will give them the extra leg to help them chase their dreams.
You show up to class for the most part. You’ll study for tests and take nights in to prepare yourself. Likewise, it helps when you are involved in something where you have to lay low and take care of your health. It’s rare to see your sign make poor grades—though your rising and midheaven sign will reveal more about yourself.
Sometimes you may find yourself discouraged because of those around you, yet you are internally confident. You are an underdog in disguise. You’re the one no one expects to ace tests, score scholarships, or graduate with a higher GPA.
In addition, it’s common to see people born under this sign to be athletes, musicians, and travelers. If you are an athlete, you are very disciplined about your academics. Especially considering you will choose a career where you can exercise your creativity and love what you do. Thus, the time not spent in the sports, music, or a club you enjoy will gear towards your academics.
…. people think you’re just getting by, but you’re really just thinking about getting away.
