You won’t let love in because you don’t want to hurt anyone. The idea of someone handing you their heart and expecting you not to break it scares you. You know you’d never intentionally hurt someone, but you’re afraid that even if you don’t intend to, the hurt will still happen.

You won’t let love in because you doubt it before it even has the chance of happening. You write love off too soon for it to ever truly grow. Maybe it’s because you’ve been hurt too many times, or maybe it’s because you’ve been on your own for far too long, either way, you’re not giving love a fair enough chance.
